What is Reflexology?
Brief History
Reflexology is the modern name for a therapy that has been known and used successfully in many countries of the Ancient World. It was first recorded in Egypt about 2330 BC.
Dr William Fitzgerald in the United States rediscovered the therapy in the late 1890's.
Eunice Ingham continued working on the Zone Therapy theories and it is through her work that modern reflexology was born. Doreen Bayley having trained with Eunice Ingham, and Dwight Byers, Eunice Ingham's nephew, introduced reflexology to Britain in the 1960's.
Reflexology is now widely recognised in the West as an established branch of Complementary Medicine and is a simple non-invasive and natural way to optimum health.
