SIR MISSION STATEMENT
Our Mission Statement reads.............
The Scottish Institute of Reflexology aims to provide a welcoming, supportive and discerning professional body for reflexologists working in Scotland and the North of England. The Scottish Institute of Reflexology is a member of the Reflexology in Europe Network, (RiEN), and is the only Scottish founding member of the Reflexology Forum, the developing regulatory body for Reflexology in Britain.
The Scottish Institute of Reflexology facilitates the expansion and development of reflexology as a therapy, and protects and promotes the health of the public. The Scottish Institute of Reflexology monitors and maintains the highest standards among its members and in training establishments which offer reflexology as a professional qualification.
Members are governed by a constitution and a code of practice and ethics, and may designate themselves MSIR on acceptance of and adherence to these standards. All members have professional indemnity insurance and a trieannially renewable first aid certificate. Student membership is available to those registered on a course recognised by the Institute.
The Scottish Institute of Reflexology maintains strong contacts across the world with other professional reflexology organisations, most especially in Europe, and seeks to play a dynamic role in increasing public awareness of the benefits of reflexology and improving public access to reflexology globally, but most especially in its home area,
