Scottish Institute of Reflexology

DEHYDRATION

It is just as important that therapists ensure that clients/patients drink enough fluid before a reflexology treatment as after a treatment.  Many clients/patients are already dehydrated before their reflexology session commences and may experience a headache or a dry mouth during or immediately after the treatment.  The most common reason for this is mild dehydration.

It is especially important to be aware of this at this time of year when many people are dieting or on detox programmes, which often exacerbate this situation.
